On a 3-meter bed, this means a 0.036mm shift over a 10°C rise. Since the CNC doesn't account for this expansion, if you're cutting thick materials requiring precision, allow the machine to warm up for about 30 minutes before starting.
Lens contamination, with metal vapor and dust coating the protective window, can scatter the beam, degrading weld quality. Neglecting this can even lead to damage of the focusing lens behind the window, a costly repair. Make it a habit to check the lens each morning.
