How It Actually Works
The Huayuan plasma power source creates a hot electrical arc in compressed air, forming plasma at about 25,000°C. This plasma melts the steel, and a high-speed gas jet blows away the molten metal, completing the cut.
Your design file (often DXF or DWG from CAD) is read by the CNC controller, which directs the torch's movement. This process ensures precise, repeatable cuts that are immediately ready for further work.
Huayuan's unique selling point is their proprietary compressed air cooling. It boosts consumable lifespan by up to 2.8 times; a set usually good for 350 cuts can now manage up to 950 arc starts.
Users can customize gas pre-flow, post-flow, and current up-slope timing based on the torch cable length. The plasma gas pressure is adjustable and visible on a panel meter for easy operation. A torch monitoring function also signals when consumables need replacement.

Can I cut stainless steel and aluminum?
Yes - with plasma, stainless and aluminum are conductive and cut well. Stainless needs different gas settings than mild steel. Flame cutting only works on carbon steel - it won't cut stainless or aluminum.
Does the plasma cutting machine need regular calibration?
Yes. It is recommended to perform an accuracy calibration every 3 to 6 months to check if the cutting torch movement trajectory is consistent with the program settings. The simplest calibration method is to cut a 50×50mm square, and then use a caliper to measure the actual size and the deviation from the program. If the deviation exceeds 0.5mm, the motor step angle needs to be adjusted or recalibrated. If the equipment is used every day, the frequency can be higher.
Why are the plates cut with the same parameters sometimes good and sometimes bad?
The biggest variable is the steel plate itself. Different batches of steel have different carbon contents, silicon contents, and minor differences in rolling processes, all of which can affect the cutting result. Some steel plates have high internal stress and will deform after cutting. This is not a problem with the machine; it's a problem with the material. If you find that the same set of parameters results in different cutting effects for different batches of plates, first adjust the cutting speed (±10%) instead of the power. If the steel plate surface is rusty, it will also affect the consistency of the cutting.
