Handheld Water‑Cooled Laser Welding Machine Product Introduction
  • This handheld water‑cooled laser welding machine is an integrated industrial welding solution designed for various metal processing scenarios. Adopting water‑cooling heat dissipation structure, it realizes stable long‑hour continuous operation, effectively lowering equipment temperature and extending the service life of laser components..

  • Equipped with high‑quality fiber laser source, the welder delivers concentrated laser energy, featuring small welding heat‑affected zone, little workpiece deformation and smooth weld seam without heavy post‑polishing work. Light‑weight welding gun brings flexible handheld operation, easy to handle corner, seam and irregular workpiece welding, suitable for both fixed‑station workshop production and on‑site mobile welding tasks.

  • Support welding for stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, copper and other metal materials. Many models integrate welding, cutting, oxide layer cleaning multi‑functions, greatly reducing equipment input cost. Simple parameter setting and friendly operation interface enable operators to get started quickly without complicated professional background.

  • Widely applied in sheet metal fabrication, hardware manufacturing, cabinet processing, pipeline engineering, door‑window frame production, auto repair and other industries. Factory‑supported configuration customization, optional laser source and power from 1000W to 3000W, reliable performance for mass‑production industrial use.

A portable fiber laser welding system that combines welding, cutting, and cleaning in one unit, with water cooling for consistent output during extended shifts-particularly useful for workshops where downtime costs more than the equipment itself

We've been around long enough to know that the biggest headache for most fabricators isn't the welding itself-it's the endless prep and cleanup. Grinding down beads, dealing with warped panels, swapping between machines for different tasks. So when we developed this handheld water-cooled laser welder, we focused on what actually saves you time on the floor: a single tool that does the job and doesn't quit halfway through a big order

The material logic-why it holds up

Many folks wonder about the difference between water-cooled and air-cooled systems. Honestly, if you're just doing quick jobs or working with thin materials, air-cooling is usually sufficient. However, once you start tackling thicker materials, like 4mm or 5mm stainless steel, or if you're welding for extended periods, an air-cooled unit will inevitably start to slow down. It overheats, the laser power decreases, and your welds become uneven. This is precisely why water-cooling is so beneficial.

Here's the technical reality: the laser source, optics, and weld head all produce heat. If this heat isn't removed effectively, the beam quality suffers. Our water circuit runs constantly, maintaining a stable internal temperature so the laser operates at its specified performance, from the first weld to the last. This consistency ensures reliable penetration and reduces waste.

The chassis is welded steel-not because it's fancy, but because it needs to absorb vibration and survive being moved around a shop. We've seen competitors using lighter alloys that dent and throw the optical path out of alignment. We'd rather build something that weighs a few extra kilos and stays true.

Last year, we shipped one of these units to a small agricultural‑equipment repair shop based in Hebei. The shop's main day‑to‑day work involved rebuilding heavily worn harvester blades. Before getting the laser welder, their go‑to repair method was traditional TIG hard‑facing. Each single blade would take roughly 40 minutes to finish. On top of slow cycle times, they went through tungsten electrodes at a high rate, replacing batches every single week, which added up to steady material costs and frequent work interruptions.

After switching over to our handheld water‑cooled laser welder, their workflow changed noticeably. Repair time per harvester blade dropped down to around 12 minutes. More importantly, the deposited weld layer maintained good hardness and stood up to real‑world field stress throughout the full harvest season, holding up well when the machines went back into farm use. Today, that same machine runs two full daily shifts to keep up with their repair backlog.

We also have feedback from a custom exhaust fabricator, who ran into a completely different set of challenges. Using a plasma torch for thin‑wall 304 stainless‑steel tubing, their technicians frequently burned holes straight through the tube walls during joint welding. Thin stock was tricky to control; too much heat and the workpiece would be ruined. The laser system solved this pain point perfectly. Operators can fine‑tune heat input precisely, creating solid fused joints without punching through the thin tube material. Within their very first month running the laser welder, their scrap rate fell from close to 15 % down to less than 2 %.

1. What's the difference between water‑cooled and air‑cooled versions?

Air‑cooled units are lighter, cheaper, and easier to move-good for light work or intermittent use. Water‑cooled handles continuous, high‑power welding without power‑dropping from heat buildup. If you're running more than two hours a day, water is the right call.

2. Can this machine weld aluminum without extra gear?

Yes-but you'll want the dual‑wire feeder option and a U‑shaped feed roller. Aluminum wire is soft, and it tends to jam in standard rollers. Also use argon shielding at 15–20 L/min for best results.

3. How long does it take to train a new operator?

Most people can produce acceptable welds after about 2 hours of practice. The joystick control is very intuitive-similar to driving a remote‑controlled car. Achieving consistent, high‑quality work on thin materials might take a couple of days.

4. What's the cost of consumables per month?

For a typical workshop running 6 hours a day, expect to replace the protective lens every 2–3 days (US$8 each), and use about 0.5 kg of wire per hour (varies by material). Coolant and chiller maintenance add about US$15 per month.

5. Do you offer a trial or sample testing?

Yes. We maintain a showroom with multiple models and offer free sample processing-send us your material, we'll weld it and send the results back. This is especially useful if you're working with an unusual alloy or thickness.
