Our handheld water-cooled laser welding machine is a real workhorse for metal processing. It boasts a closed-loop cooling system that's super effective at dissipating heat, meaning it can keep going non-stop without losing power. This is perfect for busy workshops that need to produce in batches. The welding gun itself is light and easy to handle, and operating it is a breeze – no need for expert welders, as a quick training session is all it takes for your team to get up to speed, which really helps cut down on labor costs.

This machine handles a variety of metals like stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum alloy, and galvanized sheets. It's versatile enough for flat sheets, pipes, and even custom shapes. Because the laser energy is so focused, workpieces experience very little heat distortion, and you get smooth, strong welds. In many cases, you won't even need to grind or polish afterward, saving you extra steps. Maintenance is simple too, just needing occasional replacements of affordable parts like nozzles and protective lenses. You'll find it's a great fit for sectors like sheet metal, hardware, kitchen and bath items, piping, and smaller steel structures. It's a stable, cost-effective solution ideal for small to medium-sized workshops.

Why is your workshop stuck with slow, post-weld cleanup?
If your production line looks like a grinding station instead of a welding bay, this machine is for you. This isn't just another power supply; it's a complete water-cooled fiber laser welding system (ranging from 800W to 3000W) designed to keep working when others overheat. The way it works is simple: the handheld gun shoots a concentrated beam that melts the metal instantly, while the water chiller pulls the heat away from the laser source. That means your operator can weld continuously for an hour without power drops or thermal shutdowns. We engineered this Compact Air-Cooled Laser Welding Machine specifically to cut out the "cool-down" breaks and the grinding shifts.

A Real-World Fix: Stopping the "Spatter" Nightmare

We recently helped a client who builds custom storage racks out of galvanized square tubes. They were using MIG welding, which left sticky spatter all over the tubes. They had to stop production every 20 minutes to chip off the slag and clean the nozzle.

We took our 1500W unit to their shop for a field trial. The difference was night and day. The laser created a smooth weld bead with almost zero spatter. Because the heat didn't spread as much, the galvanized coating near the weld stayed intact, preventing rust spots that usually appear after MIG welding. It saved their workers about 40% of the total labor time per rack. They didn't have to buy new polishing wheels, and the operator actually enjoyed the process more.

Installation and Wear Parts: Honest maintenance facts

Getting this running in a workshop is fairly intuitive. You connect the water lines, hook up the gas nozzle (Argon, usually), and plug it into the 220V power. Our engineers provide a free remote video setup guide for the first calibration.

Here is the honest part about maintenance: protective lenses and gas nozzles are consumables. You will need to swap them out periodically, depending on your usage volume. We send a starter kit with the machine, but you should order spares. Overlooking a cracked lens is the biggest mistake we see; it scatters the laser and ruins the weld depth. Our after-sales team is available 24/7 for video diagnostics if you encounter a system fault.

Production Flow: How Juliang builds your equipment

We don't just outsource parts; we build them. Hebei Juliang Technology has been in the CNC manufacturing field since 2014 and owns invention patents for our technology. Our factory process includes:

Raw Material: We source heavy-duty steel frames.

Frame Welding: Precision jigs ensure perfect alignment.

Stress Relief: Heat treating to avoid future warping.

Machining: Gantry milling machines produce accurate mounting bases.

Assembly: Integrating Raycus laser sources with controllers and cooling units.

Burn-in Testing: We run every unit at full power for hours to guarantee stability.

Seaworthy Packing: Wooden crates designed for international shipping.

1. How does the water-cooling actually allow for "non-stop" welding?
Standard air-cooled lasers usually have a limited duty cycle-they work for 15 minutes and then shut off to cool down. The water-cooling circulates fluid around the laser source continuously. This actively pulls heat away, allowing the machine to run at 100% power indefinitely without thermal throttling. It's crucial for long, continuous seams.

2. Do I need filler wire, or does it fuse the metal directly?
You use a manual filler rod. It functions similarly to TIG welding: you hold the rod in one hand and the gun in the other. However, because the laser power is so high, you don't need to dip the rod as frequently as in TIG. For stainless, we suggest 308L wire; for aluminum, use 4043 or 5356.

3. How dangerous is the laser beam for operators?
It is a Class 4 laser, so safety is serious. We supply protective laser safety glasses with the machine. You also need to ensure your workshop has proper shielding around the welding area. Never look directly at the welding spot, even with the glasses on.

4. I've never used a laser before. How long is the training?
You will not become an expert overnight, but our engineering team offers remote support during the initial installation. Usually, after 2 to 3 days of consistent practice on scrap material, an experienced TIG or MIG welder can produce consistent, quality beads. The hardest part is getting the travel speed right.

5. What is the return policy if something breaks during shipping?
Our quality control includes very thorough burn-in tests before packing, so hardware failure is rare. If anything arrives damaged, we inspect it via video. If we confirm a defective part, we either ship a replacement part immediately or guide you through the return-to-factory repair process, which is covered under our 1-year machine warranty and 2-year laser generator warranty.
