Installation and setup – straightforward, but get it right

The machine arrives in a reinforced crate with the main unit, handpiece, protective goggles, and a quick-start guide. Here's how we recommend you get it running.

Positioning: Place the main unit on a flat, stable surface within 10 meters of your cleaning area. Make sure there's at least 50cm of clearance around the air intake vents.

Connection: Plug the fiber cable into the handpiece and the main unit. The connectors are keyed, so you can't force them the wrong way. Hand-tighten the locking ring.

Power and air: Connect to a standard industrial power supply (220V or 380V depending on your model). The air-cooled system doesn't require an external air supply for cooling, but you can connect a low-pressure air line to the handpiece to blow debris away during cleaning.

Power on: Switch on the main breaker, then press the power button on the control panel. The system runs a self-diagnostic. Wait for the green "Ready" indicator.

Parameter set: Use the touchscreen to select your cleaning profile-we have presets for light rust, heavy scale, paint, and oxide layers. You can tweak power, scan speed, and frequency manually if you want finer control.

What's the actual difference between a fiber laser cleaner and a grinder?
grinder abrades the surface-it physically removes a layer of metal along with the rust. A laser vaporizes only the rust through selective absorption; the base metal stays intact. If you need to preserve tolerances or surface finish, laser is the better choice. For quick work on non-critical rough steel, a grinder still works but you're sacrificing material.

How do I know which power level is right for my work?
500W handles light surface rust and maintenance jobs on small parts. 1000W tackles moderate rust and paint on structural members. 1500W and 2000W are for heavy scale, thick coatings, and industrial production. If you're cleaning thick ship plate daily, you'll want the higher end. We can run a sample test to confirm.

Can this machine clean inside a pipe or around a curved surface?
 Yes-to a degree. The handpiece is handheld and flexible, so you can angle it to reach internal surfaces as long as you have physical access. The scan head's focal depth is around 5mm, so you need to keep the nozzle at roughly the same distance from the surface as you move. You won't clean a pipe interior blindly, but you can work around flanges, pipe ends, and accessible curves.
