Can this machine be used for CNC plasma cutting?
Some models support CNC connection. Look for models with the appropriate interface. Economical units typically don't have THC (torch height control), which is essential for automated cutting. If you need CNC integration, you'll need to add a separate THC system.
What's the difference between pilot arc and high-frequency start?
Pilot arc start ignites the arc inside the torch before the torch contacts the workpiece. High-frequency start uses a spark to ionize the air. Pilot arc is more reliable and doesn't require the torch to touch the workpiece-simply push the trigger and start cutting from a distance. Economical units typically use pilot arc start.
Can I cut stainless steel with this economical plasma cutter?
