Our machine cuts tubes and pipes with a side-mounted fiber laser head, unlike the typical overhead setup found in most factories. This horizontal approach means the tube sits lower to the ground, which significantly reduces vibration during rotation. A lower center of gravity helps minimize wobbling as the tube spins, resulting in smoother, more consistent cuts with less variation between pieces.

Furthermore, this side-mounted design optimizes material usage. The front chuck can extend further, allowing the cutting head to get closer to the tube's end. This minimizes the leftover stub on each bar, and over time, those saved inches translate directly into cost savings.

The frame is more than just a container for components; it's the bedrock of the entire structure. Ours is constructed from robust structural steel plate, chosen for its strength to prevent flexing under pressure. The welding procedure inevitably stresses the metal. If this stress isn't relieved, the frame will gradually shift over time, leading to a decline in cut quality, even if the movement isn't immediately apparent.

After welding, every frame is placed in an oven for stress relief. The temperature is gradually increased, held, and then slowly decreased. While this process takes time, it effectively eliminates internal stresses that could cause the frame to warp during machining. Following stress relief, we machine the mounting surfaces to be perfectly flat. Finally, a protective coating is applied. This coating serves a dual purpose: it prevents rust and also guards against pitting on the surfaces where linear guides and motors are mounted. Pitting could lead to component shifting, which in turn results in a loss of accuracy.

 

Bed Design

The bed sits lower than conventional designs. That's intentional. A tube that's closer to the ground is more stable during rotation.

Pneumatic Clamping

The chucks grab the tube automatically. They center it and hold it with consistent pressure. The machine handles round, square, and rectangular profiles without needing manual adjustment.

Servo Support

Long tubes sag in the middle. The servo-driven supports follow the tube as it rotates, adjusting their position to reduce deflection. This prevents vibration that would otherwise degrade the cut.

Short-Stub Cutting

The front chuck moves forward, allowing the cutting head to work right up to the tube end. Less scrap per cycle.

Who Needs This Machine?

A metal furniture company was cutting square tubing for office chair frames. They used a cold saw and a deburring station. Each cut took about four minutes with cleanup. . What's the typical cutting speed for 3 mm wall carbon steel?
For 3 mm carbon steel with oxygen assist, cutting speed runs approximately 6–8 meters per minute. With nitrogen, speed drops slightly but the edge quality improves. These are baseline figures; actual speeds depend on your specific material and desired edge quality.

. Is the machine difficult to program for complex cuts?
Not particularly. The software accepts standard CAD files. You import the part geometry, assign cutting parameters, and the software generates the toolpath. For standard profiles like notches or miters, the software includes pre-set routines.

. What's the warranty coverage?
One year on the full machine, two years on the fiber laser source. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Consumables like protective windows, chuck jaws, and support rollers are not covered. Damage from improper operation or electrical issues is also excluded.
