What Is a Single Platform CNC Laser Cutter – and Why Choose It?
A single platform CNC laser cutter has one worktable. Load a sheet, start the program, the machine cuts, you unload the parts. One operator, one table, one cycle. No transfer mechanism, no second table to maintain, no alignment issues between pallets.
We have been building these since 2014. What I have noticed over the past few years is that the shops buying this configuration tend to be small to medium operations where the operator moves between tasks. The machine runs unattended once the program starts. That is what makes CNC valuable – not the moving parts, but the ability to let the machine work while the operator does something else.
Why Single Platform Instead of Something Else?
Simplicity has its place. A single platform machine has fewer moving parts. No exchange mechanism means fewer motors, fewer sensors, fewer potential failure points. When something does go wrong – and eventually something will – simpler machines are easier to diagnose and repair.

The ceramic ring sits between the cutting head and the nozzle. If the head crashes into the workpiece or a clamp, the ring breaks first. This saves the expensive cutting head. Always keep a few spares on hand.
