This machine is a computer-controlled thermal cutting system with a generous 1800mm by 6000mm cutting area. That's quite a bit longer than the usual 1500x3000mm tables! The '1860' in its name highlights its ability to handle long plates, beams, or several sheets at once, which really cuts down on material handling and cutting time. It can use a plasma or oxy-fuel torch, accepts standard DXF and DWG files, and precisely cuts materials like carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, just like smaller machines. Even with its extended cutting length, the compact frame keeps its overall size practical, making it a great choice for workshops needing to cut long pieces without taking up too much floor space.
The increase from 3000 millimeters to 6000 millimeters is more than just a numerical change. It affects multiple aspects of machine design and operation.
The method of material handling has undergone significant changes. Loading 6-meter-long plates requires more space around the machine, so sufficient gaps need to be left at both ends of the workbench to facilitate the loading and unloading of materials. For workshops with limited space, this might become a constraint. However, a single setup can handle a full 6-meter-long plate without cutting, repositioning, and alignment, thus saving labor time and reducing damage during the handling process.
The stiffness requirements increase with the length. A 6-meter-long frame is more prone to bending than a 3-meter-long frame. To maintain rigidity at the extended length, we use thicker rails and add support and reinforcement on the 1860 machine. The cross-section of the workbench is welded and stress-relieved as an integral component, which is crucial because any residual stress in the 6-meter-long frame will cause accuracy issues throughout the entire length.
The alignment of the rails becomes even more critical. On 6-meter-long equipment, even a small offset will accumulate along the length. We use rails with higher tolerances and equip them with alignment tools to ensure that the rails remain parallel and level throughout the 6-meter range.
The actual application situation is: The 1860 machine is specifically designed for a particular purpose and may not be suitable for every workshop. However, if you frequently need to cut materials longer than 3 meters, eliminating the time for repositioning can usually make up for the additional space and cost investment.

If your projects are longer than 3000mm, the 1860 saves you time and hassle by avoiding alignment problems. Plus, its 1800mm width, which is wider than the standard 1500mm, gives you more flexibility for nesting.
Considering the machine weighs between 800–1200 kg, please be mindful of floor loading. Precise rail alignment is crucial at 6 meters, more so than at 3 meters, and requires careful leveling during installation. While on-site installation is advised, we can also offer remote support.
You can use plasma to cut any electrically conductive metal, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. If you're working with carbon steel and need to cut thicker sections, oxy-fuel cutting is also an option.
Rest assured, the machine guarantees positioning accuracy of ±0.1 mm across the full 6000mm length. Its frame features upgraded, thicker steel sections with added bracing to prevent any bending.
