We are the largest Business expert in Europe and Asia

This machine is a fiber laser cutter, a computer-controlled system for processing metal. It uses a powerful fiber laser beam to cut various sheet metals like steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper with incredible accuracy. Unlike CO₂ lasers that need mirrors and gases, fiber lasers create the beam inside a special optical fiber and send it through a flexible cable. Because its shorter wavelength (around 1.06 microns) is absorbed much better by metals, less energy is wasted, and more energy is used for cutting.

These machines are popular in metal fabrication for solid reasons. They can cut steel plates (thin to medium thickness) up to three times faster than plasma cutters, use considerably less energy, and leave edges so clean they're ready for welding without extra work. A quality system can maintain positioning accuracy within ±0.03mm per meter, ensuring parts fit perfectly from the start.

How the Machine Is Built

Rough Edges

This is a frequent issue, usually due to incorrect focus, a damaged nozzle, or a dirty lens. First, inspect the protective lens. Clean it with lens wipes and isopropyl alcohol if it's dirty. Replace it if it's scratched or cracked. Next, check the nozzle for wear and confirm the focus is set correctly.

Uneven Cut Quality

Differences in material batches can cause this. Minor variations in carbon or trace elements impact laser cutting. The machine can't auto-adjust. If cut quality suddenly changes between material shipments, it's likely your supplier made a change. Try adjusting the feed rate by 5–10% instead of altering power or gas settings.

Temperature Fluctuations

The machine's frame can heat up during extended use. Steel expands roughly 0.012mm per meter for every 10°C increase. On a 3-meter bed, this amounts to 0.036mm of expansion with a 10°C temperature rise. The CNC doesn't account for this thermal expansion. For thick materials requiring precise tolerances, allow the machine to warm up for 30 minutes before starting your job.

Dirty Lens

Metal vapor and dust can accumulate on the protective window. If left unaddressed, this scatters the laser beam, reducing cut quality. In severe cases, it can even damage the focusing lens behind the window, leading to costly repairs. Make it a habit to check the lens each morning.

Installation and Setup

These machines arrive in sections and need assembly on-site.

Foundation – The bed needs a level concrete floor. Even slight unevenness across a large table throws off cutting precision. The manufacturer provides foundation drawings. Follow them. Concrete needs 7–10 days of curing before you can bolt the machine down.

Power – A 2kW system draws about 20–30 amps at 380V three-phase. A 6kW pulls 40–50 amps. Check your electrical service before the machine arrives. Some workshops need upgrades.

Gas – You need oxygen for cutting steel and nitrogen for stainless. Both gases must be clean and dry. Moisture in the lines damages optics and degrades cut quality. This is where many setups hit snags-get this sorted before the machine arrives.

Time – From delivery to first cut, plan on 3–5 business days for installation and commissioning.

FAQ

01/

Can the machine be customized for specific production needs?

Yes-working area, laser power, automation options, and special configurations are all customizable. We recommend you send us typical part drawings and production volume estimates. Our engineers will look at your application and suggest a configuration that fits your operation.

02/

How does the machine handle reflective materials like aluminum and copper?

Fiber lasers at 1080nm handle reflective materials better than CO₂ lasers. The shorter wavelength is absorbed more efficiently by aluminum, copper, and brass. However, you may need specific parameter settings and gas selection for optimal results on these materials.

03/

What's included in the warranty?

One-year warranty on the full machine. Consumables-protective windows, nozzles, ceramic rings, filters-are not covered. We provide 24/7 remote video support. If parts are needed, we ship them and guide your team through replacement remotely. Return-to-factory repairs follow a standard process with clear communication at each step.

04/

Do you provide installation and training?

Yes. Our technicians spend 2–3 days on-site after installation covering basic operation, daily inspections, parameter adjustment, and troubleshooting. Your operators run parts under supervision before we leave. We also provide detailed manuals and video references for ongoing training.
