How long does setup take on a new site?
About one full day from arrival to first cut – assuming power and gas are ready. Assembly takes half a day, calibration and test cuts take the other half.
Can Portable Pipe Laser Cutter operate outdoors in rainy weather?
It is not recommended to use it in rainy days. Although the equipment has a certain level of protection, it is not waterproof or rainproof. Exposure to rain can cause short circuits in electronic components and moisture in optical lenses, resulting in high repair costs. If it is used outdoors, it is suggested to build a simple shelter to protect it, or to work when the weather is good.
What are the requirements for the operators of this machine? Do they need specialized training?
No laser expertise is required. The operation interface is graphical. Just select the pattern, enter the diameter, and click start. It's that simple. We offer on-site or remote training. Usually, the operators can get proficient in the operation within two or three days.
Is it possible to cut the pipe surface that has rust or coating directly?
For minor surface rust or paint coating, the laser can penetrate and the cutting will not be affected. However, if the coating is too thick or the pipe surface has attachments such as cement or rubber, it is necessary to clean them first. My suggestion is: Keep the cutting area approximately 10 centimeters wide clean, and there is no need to grind the entire pipe.
