What It Can Cut

It processes common metal materials like carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. Each material has specific cutting requirements: carbon steel cuts faster with oxygen, stainless steel needs nitrogen for a clean, oxide-free edge, and aluminum and copper require higher power due to their excellent thermal conductivity. This latter point is crucial, as many workshops run into problems if it's not considered.

The applicable diameter range is from 30mm to 100mm (Φ30mm - Φ100mm). If your project fits within this range, this machine is an excellent choice. How We Test Every Machine

We validate motion by running all axes through their full travel, assessing smooth movement, listening for any unusual sounds, and confirming acceleration and deceleration curves match specifications.

Laser output is checked with the source running at its rated power. We measure the actual output against the set value and verify beam quality and focus stability.

For cut tests, we use real pipes (carbon steel and stainless steel). We cut samples, inspect the edge quality, check for dross, and measure dimensions against the drawing. If a cut doesn't meet our standards, the machine isn't shipped.

Chuck and support systems are tested by repeatedly cycling clamping, rotation, and support positioning to ensure reliability across different diameters.

Finally, all safety systems, including emergency stops, interlocks, and light curtains, are individually tested.

How long does it take to switch between different pipe sizes?

About 10–15 minutes. You swap the chuck jaws to match the new pipe diameter, load the new cutting program, and adjust the support positions. The control system stores multiple parameter sets, so you're not re-entering settings from scratch.

What's the shortest remnant pipe left after cutting?

With optimized chuck design, you can get remnants as short as 80–100mm. The exact length depends on pipe diameter and chuck configuration. For thin pipes, remnants can be even shorter.

What happens if the power goes out mid-cut?

The machine stops. When power returns, you can't just resume – the position data is lost. You'll need to re-home the axes, reload the program, and restart the cut. I recommend a UPS or voltage stabilizer if your area has frequent outages.
