However, when you're dealing with very long plates-12, 16, or even 24 meters-the sheer weight of the material and the heat generated during cutting can cause the rails to shift. This, in turn, leads to a loss of accuracy.

In contrast, a floor-mounted laser cutter is constructed differently. Its rails are secured directly to the factory floor, independent of the worktable . The plate rests on a separate support bed, while the gantry travels along the floor-mounted rails. This arrangement means the weight of the plate doesn't impact the rails, and the heat from cutting is prevented from transferring to the precision guide surfaces. As a result, the machine maintains its accuracy across the entire length of the material.
