The automatic torch height control (THC) uses arc voltage feedback. When the plate warps, the arc voltage changes. The THC adjusts the torch height in real time to maintain consistent standoff distance. This is standard on industrial metal cutting machines and compensates for material variations.

2.Can a metal cutting machine cut stainless steel and aluminum?

Yes, with the plasma torch. Plasma cuts all electrically conductive metals, including stainless steel and aluminum. For stainless and aluminum, nitrogen is typically used as the assist gas instead of compressed air. Oxy-fuel is only for carbon steel.

3.What is the advantage of bilateral drive on the gantry?

Bilateral drive means motors on both sides of the gantry move it simultaneously. This keeps the gantry square to the bed. On a wide gantry, single-side drive causes the trailing side to lag, which shows up as cut errors across the plate.

4.How long does installation take?

3 to 5 working days from delivery. The machine requires a prepared foundation. Mechanical assembly takes about 2 days, electrical and gas connections take another day, and test cutting takes the remainder.
