The F2300B is a numerical control cutting control host produced by Shanghai Fangling. It is responsible for reading the drawings, executing the cutting paths, and driving the servo system. What's the difference between plasma cutting and fiber laser cutting for metal plate?

Plasma uses an electrical arc and compressed air to melt and blow away metal, cutting conductive materials like steel, stainless, and aluminum. It's fast and cost-effective on thicker material (10mm to 40mm), but leaves a slightly beveled edge and a heat-affected zone that may need light grinding. Fiber laser uses a focused light beam to vaporize metal. It gives a cleaner, squarer edge with no HAZ on materials up to about 20mm (steel), but the machine costs significantly more, and operating costs are generally higher for thick material. Choose plasma if you're cutting a wide range of thicknesses on a budget; choose laser if edge quality and precision on thinner material are your top priorities.

Can this machine cut stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized materials?

Yes, the plasma process works on any conductive metal-mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, galvanized, and brass. For stainless and aluminum, you need the right gas settings (nitrogen or a nitrogen-oxygen mix for stainless/aluminum) to get a clean edge. We'll set up the parameters for your specific material mix. Galvanized is fine to cut, just make sure you have adequate fume extraction since zinc fumes are harmful.

How much floor space do I need, and does it require a special foundation?

For the standard 3000mm x 6000mm table, the total footprint is about 3800mm wide by 8000mm long, plus extra space for material loading and fume extraction equipment. It's a ground-mount design-no special concrete pit or deep foundation required. Just a level, reinforced concrete floor capable of supporting the machine's weight. We provide detailed anchor plans and bolt-down specs in the installation manual.
