The mini air-cooled laser welding machine is completely different. It's a compact laser welding system that fits on a workbench, is light enough for one person to handle, and uses fans for cooling instead of water. What Materials You Can Weld

The machine handles the common metals found in light fabrication.

 

Stainless steel - This is the primary application. A 1.2mm stainless sheet can be welded nearly distortion-free, with minimal discoloration-. The weld requires no grinding or polishing - it comes out smooth and clean.

 

Carbon steel - 3mm carbon steel can be welded in a single pass. The narrow heat-affected zone means the surrounding material doesn't warp. Post-weld finishing is minimal.

 

Aluminum - A 2mm to 3mm aluminum sheet is within range. Aluminum's thermal conductivity requires slightly higher power for the same thickness compared to steel, but the process works reliably.

 

Galvanized sheet - Up to 3mm thickness. The laser's concentrated heat minimizes zinc vaporization issues common with MIG welding.
